Messaging Opt-In & Consent

This page documents how HORIZONMATRIX INC (operating as Cariigo) collects and records consumer consent before sending any text messages or SMS communications through our messaging services.

Overview

Cariigo uses messaging services powered by Twilio to communicate with users who have explicitly opted in to receive text messages. We are committed to obtaining clear, informed, and voluntary consent from every consumer before sending any messaging communications.

How We Collect Consent

Consumers provide consent to receive messaging from Cariigo through the following methods:

  • Account registration: During the Cariigo account sign-up process, users are presented with a clear opt-in checkbox to receive SMS notifications, order updates, and promotional messages. Users must affirmatively check this box to consent.
  • In-app opt-in: Within the Cariigo mobile application, users can enable SMS notifications in their account settings. A clear disclosure is presented before the user confirms their opt-in.
  • Checkout flow: At checkout, users may opt in to receive order status updates and delivery notifications via text message by providing their phone number and checking the consent box.
  • Customer support: When a user contacts support and requests text-based communication, verbal or written consent is obtained and recorded before any messages are sent.

Consent Disclosure Language

At each opt-in point, consumers are shown the following or substantially similar disclosure:

"By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from Cariigo (operated by HORIZONMATRIX INC), including order confirmations, shipping updates, and promotional messages. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by updating your preferences in your account settings. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@cariigo.com."

Types of Messages

Once consent is obtained, consumers may receive the following types of messages:

  • Order confirmations and receipts
  • Shipping and delivery notifications
  • Account security alerts and verification codes
  • Customer support responses
  • Promotional offers and marketing messages (only if promotional consent is given)

Opt-Out Instructions

Consumers may revoke their consent at any time using any of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP: Text STOP to any message received from Cariigo to immediately unsubscribe from all messaging.
  • Account settings: Log in to your Cariigo account and disable SMS notifications under your communication preferences.
  • Contact support: Email support@cariigo.com or call +1 (949) 316 7766 to request removal from messaging.

Consent Records

Cariigo maintains records of each consumer's opt-in, including the date and time of consent, the method of consent (e.g., web form, in-app toggle, checkout flow), the phone number provided, and the disclosure language presented at the time of opt-in. These records are retained for the duration of the messaging relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter as required by applicable regulations.
